Submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation at CMC MAC 2026. Review the guidelines below before preparing your file.

Prepare your abstract

Title — a descriptive title of up to fifteen words indicating the content of the abstract. Titles are printed in uppercase.
Authors — given name and family name of every contributing author, separated by a comma.
Affiliations — each author's organisation, city, state, and email address (optional). The presenter is indicated in the programme, not the abstract.
Abstract — 300 words covering the purpose of the presentation, the nature and scope of the topic, the issue under consideration, and the conclusion reached. Do not include graphs or tables.
Keywords — include any keywords appropriate to your abstract.
References — list separately; do not include references in the body of the abstract.

Abstract guidelines

Abstracts are invited for the following presentations:
1) Poster Presentation 2) Oral Presentation
There will be separate categories for Medical Students, Postgraduate Residents and Faculty
Abstracts must be original and unpublished — previously published abstracts will not be accepted.
Use single spacing throughout and ensure the text is grammatically correct.
Do not use abbreviations in the title; spell out abbreviations in full at first mention in the abstract.
Capitalise the first letter of trade names.
Abstracts should not contain references, tables, or figures.
Accepted abstracts will appear exactly as submitted.
All presenters must register for the conference and cover their own travel and accommodation.

Review & Selection

Peer review

The Scientific Programme Committee peer-reviews every submitted abstract.

Selection

The committee allocates presentations to the programme based on abstract scores, reviewer recommendations, the author's preferred presentation format, and overall programme balance.

Notification

Authors are notified of acceptance, rejection, or a change of format by email ahead of the conference. Presenters must then confirm their participation.
